Duties & Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

 

 

As a Talent Acquisition and Employer Branding Manager, you will be Reporting to the Head of HRBP, the Talent Acquisition Manager will be responsible for developing and driving the talent acquisition and employer branding strategy to ensure effective talent resourcing from attraction to retention.

 

 

MAIN ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

The responsibilities will be varied and include the following critical performance areas:

 

End to end Management of the Talent Acquisition Function

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the talent acquisition strategy, practices and processes
  • Benchmark recruitment strategies (buy, build, borrow etc.) and align to meet talent demands for talent segments (scarce/critical/on-demand skills)
  • Actively participate and contribute towards budgeted headcount planning and managing recruitment in line with allocated headcount
  • Manage Employment Equity recruitment to align with Employment Equity targets
  • Manage the process of building an external talent pool
  • Oversee the process of psychometric assessments in relation to selection
  • Solve all issues evolving prior to, during and after recruitment process pertaining to headcount, job title, grade and onboarding with Hiring Managers recruit decisions
  • Act as the Business Owner of the vacancy management system as well as Users of the system
  • Conduct job interviews for managerial job positions (or key jobs in the organization)
  • Procure recruitment-related service providers in line with the Company’s Procurement Policy.
  • Monitor and constantly reduce the costs of the recruitment process

Employer Branding

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the employer branding strategy, practices and processes
  • Responsible for building the Company Brand both internally and externally
  • Develop and implement a strategy for building the Company as an employer of choice and highlighting EVP
  • Evaluate Company’s brand position on an ongoing basis
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team and Employee Engagement team to drive the EVP
  • Manage the social media platforms in relation to talent attraction
  • Responsible for the full utilization of the social media, for example full utilization of LinkedIn seats

Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Manage job boards and build sustainable relationships with recruitment suppliers and key account managers
  • Provide consultation to leaders and executive recruitment in sourcing high potential internal and external talent
  • Act as a single point of contact for senior managers regarding recruitment topics
  • Meet with internal clients on a regular basis to address and close potential gaps that are identified researched
  • Build quality relationships with internal customers and external recruitment agencies
  • Always maintain a High Level of Customer Service with all stakeholders
  • Design recruitment related training for talent acquisition specialists and line managers
  • Coach and up-skill line managers and staff with regards to HR services and the Employee Value Chain in general and as it related to TA

Team Management

  • Manage the end-to-end talent acquisition function
  • Lead and assume full management responsibility for a team of Talent Acquisition Specialists
  • Ensure that the Talent Acquisition Specialists source talent timeously as per business requirements / service level agreements
  • Educate recruitment agents on use of the e-Talent system and ensure that the team keeps the e-Talent
  • Ensure that ongoing coaching is provided to Talent Acquisition Specialists
  • Conduct regular performance reviews of the Talent Acquisition Specialists and ensure that the productivity of is monitored on an ongoing basis
  • Manage end-to-end staff recruitment budget for the financial year
  • Prepare and arrange for payment of invoices to suppliers
  • Budget, plan and forecast for departmental expenditure and report on unusual expenditures

Reporting and Compliance

  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reporting to MANCO and Exco
  • Prepare monthly reports for the Employment Equity Committee and represent the company at this forum
  • Report back to the Transformation Committee on progress against plans
  • Ensure and enforce compliance in relation to company recruitment policies and practices as well as the Employment Equity Act for team as well as organisation
  • Ensure that onboarding of recruitment suppliers is in line with the Company’s Procurement Policy
  • Monitor changes to the labour legislation and implement required changes to keep the process compliant
  • Ensure compliance to the Employment Equity Plan, targets, and goals

REQUIREMENTS:

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

 

  • Knowledge of Business Policies, Processes and Procedures, Legal Compliance
  • NQF Level 7: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 8 – 10 years as a Talent Acquisition Specialist, 3 years of which should be in a leadership role
  • 5 years’ experience in employer branding
  • Extensive experience and knowledge in Talent Acquisition and Human Resources
  • Team Management experience
