Overview

Sumer Internship - Category Management/Brands and Pricing 

 

To deliver profitable sales for both wholesale and our independent retail customers.

Enhance brand performance through strategic pricing and marketing alignment.

Ensure accurate and competitive pricing strategies that align with market trends and customer needs.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities and tasks:

  • Analyze and resolve root causes for excess credits and pricing discrepancies.
  • Work closely with the Brands Department to monitor product performance and create actionable insights.
  • Support pricing strategies by researching market trends and customer preferences.
  • Contribute to corrective action planning and system improvements for category management. 
  • Other tasks as needed.

 

Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen interest in category management, branding, and pricing.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies effectively.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel; knowledge of pricing or retail systems is a plus.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills.
  • A proactive and curious learner who is eager to take on

 

Skills Intern is expected to learn:

  • How to conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective action plans.
  • Best practices for analyzing brand performance and aligning strategies with pricing models.
  • Systems and processes used in category management and pricing.
  • Effective collaboration across departments to achieve shared goals.
  • Techniques for presenting data-driven recommendations to stakeholders.
