Job Description Summary:



This position will plan and execute marketing and communications strategies to support our mission and programs. This position will assume substantial delegation authority from Marketing leadership to lead all aspects of the strategy for specified areas, including the effective utilization of outsourced talent as necessary to achieve organizational goals. Primary responsibilities of this position include creating and executing strategies for brand management and revenue generation, maintaining a favorable public image, organizational communication, and effective promotion of all Sourcewell services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



Brand Management


  • Assists in developing and ensuring brand and identity standards, including image and messaging throughout all Sourcewell-produced materials and attended events.
  • Effectively develops and implements brand strategies to drive revenue and client engagement and loyalty, including media advertising and promotional activities such as print, online, electronic media, and direct mail. 
  • Conducts thorough market research to identify customer needs, preferences, and trends to inform brand strategy.
  • Analyzes and reports on brand and campaign performance, including developing and managing key performance indicators (KPIs)to track and measure engagement and ROI.


Leads strategy and implementation of marketing strategy within assigned vertical/audience


  • Develops and implements marketing strategy to support assigned vertical(s) growth and revenue objectives, including media advertising and promotional activities such as print, online, electronic media, and direct mail.  
  • Leads cross-functional teams to develop new strategies and execute plans for revenue-generation and growth. 
  • Initiates and supports the execution of targeted marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including social media, email, and web.
  • Enterprises and facilitates content development for assigned vertical and approves editorial and advertorial content.
  • Oversees management of communication strategy through social media, Power Points, flyers, video, audio, banners and other selected mediums.
  • Manages external agencies and vendors to ensure timely and on-budge delivery of all brand-related initiatives. 
  • Stays current with industry trends and best practices in brand management, marketing, and digital media.
  • Assists with messaging and tracking of all marketing, communication, and public relations related collateral.
  • Helps oversee studio productions, video and audio editing and content library.
  • Develops and manages the brand focus area annual marketing budget and ensures marketing initiatives are within budget and aligned with organizational objectives.


Assists with team strategic planning


  • Works collaboratively with team members and other departments to align marketing, communication, and public relations strategies with departmental and organization goals.
  • Assists in researching Sourcewell’s marketing needs and assists in developing overall organizational marketing plan to include development of brand focus area specific marketing plans.
  • Effectively conducts thorough research and effectively utilizes research and market intelligence to ensure marketing, communication, and public relations strategies are aligned with achieving organizational goals.
  • Analyzes and recommends improvements and alternatives to execute the team’s plans and strategies.


Provides marketing and public relations team business management


  • Helps evaluate the department’s information and asset management systems, management procedures, and internal controls to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • In collaboration with Marketing team leadership, assists in the development and implementation of best practices in marketing partnerships, use of data to aim campaigns, assuring continuity in messaging and branding across all mediums, and continuous improvement of processes and procedures for marketing projects and materials.
  • Assists in monitoring department processes and procedures, along with implementation and efficient use of department workflow tools.


Partners with Marketing team to provide input, guidance, and development


  • Collaborates with digital team to ensure website content is current, consistent with messaging and brand, accessible, and maximizes user experience.
  • Collaborates with social media and communication team to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and provide content and campaign materials with execution schedules.
  • Provides team support for Sourcewell events as defined in vertical strategy or requested.

Additional Job Description:



Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, or communications AND a minimum of seven (7) years demonstrated industry experience
  • OR
  • A combination or related post-secondary and/or professional education/training and demonstrated relevant work experience equivalent to a total of eleven (11) years.

  • Two or more (2+) years of demonstrated experience with brand management
  • Two or more (2+) years of experience developing and implementing a marketing plan, organizational communication strategy and/or public relations strategy
  • Experience in media buying and segment specific tactics
  • Website and social media experience
  • Two or more (2+) years of Experience in strategic planning Proficient in the use of Adobe Creative Suite


Preferred Qualifications


  • Master’s degree in marketing, public relations, or communications
  • Nine or more (9+) years demonstrated industry experience
  • Two (2) or more years’ experience leading people or teams

Salary Range:


  • Grade 12, $87,035.75 - $121,850.05 per fiscal year, commensurate with experience.
