Job description:
The Merchandise Brand Manager will be responsible for leading the design and branding efforts, ensuring a cohesive and compelling brand identity across all platforms. This role requires overseeing the development of on-brand visual content for various media, packaging, e-commerce, marketing campaigns, and more. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in design, brand strategy, and creative direction, ensuring that all assets align with the company’s vision and market positioning. This is a fast-paced position that requires adaptability, strategic thinking, and strong leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:
Brand Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead and inspire the creative team, ensuring brand consistency and innovation across all channels.
- Develop and execute brand strategies that align with business goals and market trends.
- Oversee and approve all visual assets to ensure they meet branding standards and business objectives.
Project & Team Management:
- Manage multiple branding and design projects, ensuring timely execution and high-quality results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and sales, to align branding efforts.
- Allocate resources effectively and oversee workload distribution within the creative team.
Art Direction & Content Development:
- Spearhead the development of brand visuals, including packaging, digital assets, marketing materials, and e-commerce graphics.
- Conduct brainstorming and trend research sessions to generate fresh ideas and innovative branding solutions.
- Translate complex brand concepts into compelling visual stories that resonate with target audiences.
Brand Consistency & Evolution:
- Maintain and enforce brand guidelines to ensure a unified brand presence across all platforms.
- Work with leadership teams to evolve and refine brand identity as the company grows.
- Stay ahead of market trends and industry best practices to keep the brand relevant and competitive.
Requirements:
- Four to five years of experience in professional graphic design, preferably with a creative or marketing agency
- Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills
- Five or more years of experience (academic and professional) with Adobe software, including Illustrator and Photoshop
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lead and provide direction to team members
Bonus skills:
- Experience working with chibi/ kawaii / cute aesthetics is a plus!
- Experience with digital content creators is a plus!
