BrandZ is an annual study of the views and opinions of people who use and buy brands. The BrandZ study, conducted by Kantar, provides a unique piece of intelligence. Over the past 20+ years Kantar has spoken to 3.9 million people about more than 18,500 brands. We combine the BrandZ research data with financial data to compile a number of annual brand rankings.



At Kantar, we have an outstanding opportunity for a Manager to join our Gurugram-based Kantar BrandZ team. As a Manager in our analytics department, you will have the unique chance to excel in financial analysis, market research, and branding. This role provides the opportunity to become an industry expert in brand valuation and lead regional valuations/rankings. Join our team and contribute to the outstanding work we do.



Responsibilities:


As a Manager, your responsibilities will include:


  • Reviewing attribution rates of analysts/senior analysts for brands in the BrandZ rankings.
  • Managing the web-based valuation system, incorporating inputs from BrandZ, S&P Capital IQ, and Kantar.
  • Reviewing and validating brand valuations, providing justifications for changes and sector trends/brand news.
  • Determining brand inclusion/exclusion in the rankings.
  • Addressing ad hoc requests and inquiries related to the BrandZ rankings.
  • Identifying and suggesting improvements in the valuation process.
  • Communicating with project managers in different time zones for information required in brand valuation.
  • Collating ranking-related data sets for client/media requests.
  • Supporting business development initiatives resulting from the BrandZ rankings.
  • Managing and developing a team, ensuring workload fairness and a harmonious work environment.


Requirements:


To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:


  • Expertise in financial statement analysis and knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Strong data management and analytical skills.
  • Ability to integrate multiple data sources in a brand valuation.
  • Strong knowledge of valuing a company/brand and ability to re-engineer existing valuation models.
  • Excellent planning, organizing, and time management abilities.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills.
  • Positive and professional attitude, inspiring confidence and commitment from others.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team with some supervision.
  • Proactive individual with a keen eye for identifying and converting new business opportunities.
  • Experience within a professional working environment.
  • Good degree in accounting/finance with understanding of financial statements and annual reports.
  • Interest in market research.
