The Position


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Mid-Senior Global PR & Social Media Manager to join our Marketing and Communications team. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker with a proven track record in social media and public relations, a Doer with a strong passion and drive for making an impact on people’s life under HOYA’s Mission and Long-term Vision. This role will be pivotal in fostering a positive work environment, enhancing our internal communications, and promoting our multi-brands-house externally through strategic Social Media PR initiatives.



Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:


  • Public Relations:
    • Execute PR strategies that align with the company’s overall marketing goals and enhance brand visibility and Share of Voice (SOV)
    • Manage media relations with the Global Hubs and Local countries, including drafting press releases, pitching stories, and coordinating interviews.
    • Monitor and analyze media coverage, providing insights and recommendations for improving PR strategies.
    • Act as a spokesperson for the company, representing the brand in a professional and positive manner.
  • Social Media & Digital Content Creation:
    • Collaborate with the marketing team, HR team and CXO leadership to create compelling content for internal newsletters, blogs, social media, and other communication channels.
    • Ensure all communications are consistent with the company's tone, style, and branding guidelines.
    • Driving together with the Sustainability team, employee’s engagement and external communication under our Sustainability Platform, ONE VISION. 
    • Create and manage internal communication campaigns that inform, engage, and inspire employees driving employee’s engagement and retention (using internal tools such as ViVa Engagement, SharePoint Comms channel, and external Social Media Channels like LinkedIn and Facebook leveraging the Clickify Tool). 

The Stakeholders


The following are the key stakeholders for this position:


  • Occasionally, HVC CxO
  • Commercial Vice Presidents and their respective regional marketing leads (NA, LATAM, WE, CEMEEA and APAC)
  • Marketing Peers in the Global Team 
  • Managing Directors of key markets (China, South Korea, France, Brazil, India, Japan, US)
  • External partners (agencies and partners)

Key Accountabilities  (the main deliverables expected in the first 18-24 months)


  • Create and manage a Calendar with internal communication campaigns
  • Co-Drive Comms under our Sustainability Platform, ONE VISION
  • Manage media relations with the Global Hubs and Local countries and monitor and analyze media coverage

Social Media & Digital Content Creation Calendar and execution (product launch, financial, etc) 



Qualifications

Qualifications


       Education


  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in internal communications, Social Media content creation and public relations.

    Experiences: 
  • Proven experience in developing and executing Social Media PR strategies.
  • Strong writing, editing, and content creation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Experience with digital communication tools and platforms.

          Mobility:
           Willingness to travel internationally for up to 10% of the time on average

  • This is a hybrid position that allows for flexible working at home subject to the approval of the manager and the company policies currently applicable. 
  • As this position involves multi-regional or global scope, you will be required to participate in meetings and conference calls outside your regular work hours as required.
