GENERAL PURPOSE 
 


The Events & Brand Experience Manager is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive event strategy to enhance customer engagement through innovative and meaningful interactions. This role involves planning and managing various events including tradeshows and sales meetings, finding new ways to nurture existing customer relationships, and exploring new avenues for engaging with existing and potential customers. This is a hybrid role, located in Eden Prairie, MN.



DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES 


  • Develop and implement a broad event strategy that includes regional events, VIP experiences, partner events and experience centers, and other innovative customer engagement avenues.
  • Plan, organize, and manage events from concept to execution, ensuring alignment with the company's brand, objectives and strategic initiatives through a lens of customer lifetime value.
  • Develop a framework for hosting and managing VIP meetings and experiences that nurture existing customer relationships and foster new partnerships.
  • Provide support for partner-led events and experiences as needed in collaboration with sales and marketing counterparts.
  • Manage internal events team to drive results and achieve business objectives through targeted goal setting, clear communication, effective delegation, conflict resolution and performance management.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate event strategies with overall business goals.
  • Collaborate with Channel Marketing counterparts to promote events and increase attendance and engagement, leveraging social media and digital marketing tools to enhance event promotion and audience reach.
  • Manage event budgets to ensure cost-effective use of resources while delivering high-quality experiences.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry partners, sponsors, and other stakeholders.
  • Track and report on event expenditures and ROI to inform future strategies.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure cohesive and consistent messaging and branding.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on event performance and strategic insights.
  • Coordinate logistics, vendor relationships, and on-site management for various events.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors, sponsors, and venues to ensure favorable terms.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations throughout the event planning and execution process.
  • Understand workplace hazards and take steps to proactively prevent and report hazards or injuries in the workplace. Cooperate in safety programs, initiatives, and investigations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS


Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:


  • Proven ability to develop and execute creative event strategies that drive customer engagement.
  • Excellent project and budget management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support event execution.
  • Highly motivated; creative self-starter; strong work ethic.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and to appropriately prioritize workload based upon organization or department needs.
     

Minimum Education and Experience Required:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Event Management, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in event management, with a strong background in marketing strategy and budget management.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of industry experience in AV or IT or consumer technology marketing
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with people management, and assessing employee work performance
  • Design Thinking experience
  • Familiarity with account-based marketing and customer lifetime value


WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS 


  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required (for most of the working day) to sit and make coordinated movements of the fingers for using a keyboard 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for tradeshow booth set-up
  • General office environment 
  • Requires occasional ground travel to other company facilities within local metropolitan area  
  • Long-distance or air travel as needed – not to exceed 25% travel
