Description

In this role, the Communications Intern will be heavily involved in the day-to-day management of the Group’s social media platforms, including creating written, graphic, video, and other content; managing and publishing upcoming content with our editorial management platform (Sprout Social); conducting research and analysis on industry trends, best practices, and media coverage and monitor; and monitoring KPIs and measuring the effectiveness of communication campaigns and strategies.
 

The Communications Intern will play an active role in developing content for the Group’s Employer
Brand Campaign, write articles for the SCOR careers blog, and help with various other HR and career communications that highlight our people and their expertise. The Communications Intern will also support planning and execution of corporate events, such as webinars, conferences, and employee engagement activities and may contribute to corporate reports and other editorial projects.

Responsibilities

Key duties and responsibilities:
 

Social Media:

  • Crafting content for various platforms: You will collaborate with the Corporate Communications Manager to create content for LinkedIn, Instagram, Glassdoor, and YouTube.
  • Conducting social media audits: You will monitor KPIs and assess our social media
    performance.
  • Creating visual assets: Using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc. and Canva, you will
    develop visual assets like images, carousels, and videos that adhere to SCOR's tone and brand
    guidelines for use on social media. You will also be expected to keep up to date with the latest
    formats, tools, and trends in social media marketing.
  • Monitor SCOR’s online reputation: You will respond to mentions on social media and escalate
    any negative comments to the Corporate Communications Manager.

Cross functional responsibilities:

  • Support employer brand campaign: You will contribute to planning and launching the
    employer branding campaign aimed at talent retention and attraction, along with fostering
    employee advocacy. This will require you to work closely with members of the HR and business
    teams around the world.
  • Support HR communications: You will identify opportunities to communicate externally on our
    people/HR strategy.
  • Contribute to the SCOR career blog: You will pitch ideas for articles and other content, contact
    and interview employees across the Group, and write articles.

Events:

  • Support event coordination: You will help to plan and execute events and webinars such as
    LinkedIn Live events and manage related promotional campaigns.

Other:
 

  • Young Professionals Network: You will help to plan and host events for SCOR Paris’s Young
    Professionals Network of intern, apprentices, and trainees
  • Media and speaker dashboards: You will update the media and speaker dashboards when
    SCOR employees are featured in newspaper, journal, or other articles or participate in
    conferences and other events as speakers.
  • Corporate reports: You will assist in the editorial and design processes for corporate reports as
    needed, particularly the sections concerning HR topics.
  • Additional tasks and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Required experience & competencies:

  • Native-level English writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills; a good understanding of French is a plus (team meetings are often held in French).
  • Creativity, the ability to generate innovative ideas, attention to detail, and commitment to producing high-quality work are key.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.), Canva, and social media platforms.
  • Graphic design experience is a plus.
  • Prior experience in HR is a plus.

Required education: 

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
