JOB SUMMARY:

The Brand Studio is the storytelling engine of Universal Creative. Utilizing the transformational work of Universal Creative and the innovative marketing assets of Universal Destinations and Experiences (UDX), the Brand Studio crafts compelling narratives and presentations that bring ambitious projects, initiatives, and visions to life, ultimately elevating and amplifying the UDX brand.

The Brand Studio operates in a micro-agency format, with the Director serving as the Creative Director (and contributor writer / designer), a strategic project manager and multiple creative designers with the disciplines of graphic design, motion animation and video.

Our ranges from branding and branded templates, presentation design (Keynote and PowerPoint); graphic design, event design; videos, narrative development (in partnership with UDX Communications team), and collateral. A large part of our day-to-day is dedicated to presentation design with motion and video.

The Brand Studio executes work in 3 main categories:

  1. Executive Projects – For executive initiatives, Brand Studio supports C-suite executives with the development of branding initiatives (graphics); storytelling and narrative development (in partnership with UDX Communications Teams); video and reel development; presentations and events (may include but not limited to board meetings, internal and external events).
  2. Event Projects – Brand Studio supports with event branding, look and feel, strategic goals and visions for events, presentation, narrative development, video, supplemental collateral and day of show support (a Brand Studio team member typically runs technology for event specific to presentation software, such as Keynote).
  3. Studio Projects – These are in support of Universal Creative specific projects. Brand Studio supports with presentation design for project pitches; template development for pitches and collateral; videos and reels for projects.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads vision, voice and creative direction and design for all Brand Studio deliverables based on elevated branding, communications and project pipeline to include pitching, presentation design, narrative development and event design. Creative Directs multiple Brand Studio team members on elevating look and feel, narrative and final production.
  • Leads operational strategy, workflows and production Brand Studio for projects, pitches, presentations, and events. Directs Sr Manager in the development of schedules, project plans and narrative outlines.
  • The Director of Brand Studio will serve as the primary liaison and creative partner to C-suite executives, leading and co-leading high-profile meetings and reviews with strategic storytelling, compelling visuals, and innovative brand narratives that align with executive vision and business objectives.
  • Produces and leads on-site production ensuring executional excellence and brand pride. Builds and leads Universal Creative’s asset management function.
  • Leads collaboration with UDX co-partners, such as UDX Communications teams, Comcast, UC project teams, etc.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: 

  • Must be a creative with experience with storytelling, design, copywriting in Adobe Design suite and presentation software (Keynote and PowerPoint).
  • Must be able to Creative Direct and be a contributor as needed for writing and design.
  • Must have experience leading and scaling creative team, while working with cross-functional partners.
  • Must be a clear communicator able to collaborate with executive leadership.
  • Must have experience managing a public and recognized brand.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Communications or Design or comparable experience in agency or in-house creative team is preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 

  • 10+ years in creative agency environment or fast-paced in-house creative team as associate creative director and/or creative direction and experience with storytelling, creative design, communications, writing, strategy, graphic design, media development a plus.
  • Must lead team and operate as a contributor as applicable; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
