Role Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Designer to lead our website, application, and presentation design efforts, as well as other branding initiatives. This role will focus on creating visually compelling and user-friendly designs that enhance our brand identity and support our business objectives. The successful candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing their expertise in web design, application design, and branding.

Key Responsibilities

• Website Design: Design and maintain visually appealing, user-friendly websites that effectively communicate our brand and engage our audience.

• Application Design: Create intuitive and aesthetically pleasing application interfaces, ensuring a seamless user experience.

• Presentation Design: Develop impactful and professional presentations that effectively convey complex information and align with our brand standards.

• Branding: Contribute to the development and maintenance of our brand identity, ensuring consistency across all visual assets.

• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product management, and engineering, to ensure design alignment with business goals.

• User Experience (UX): Conduct user research and testing to gather insights and inform design decisions, ensuring a user-centric approach.

• Graphic Design: Create a variety of visual assets, including infographics, icons, and promotional materials, to support marketing and communication efforts.

• Design Systems: Develop and maintain design systems and guidelines to ensure consistency and scalability across all design projects.

• Feedback Integration: Gather and incorporate feedback from stakeholders to continuously improve design quality and effectiveness.

What Will Make You Successful

• Creative Vision: Strong creative vision with the ability to translate complex concepts into visually appealing and user-friendly designs.

• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Sketch, Figma, or similar tools.

• User-Centric Approach: Deep understanding of user experience principles and a user-centric approach to design.

• Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring high-quality and consistent visual output.

• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and explain design concepts clearly and persuasively.

• Project Management: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

• Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, contributing to shared goals and initiatives.

Bonus Points

• Experience: 3+ years of experience in web design, application design, and branding.

• Motion Graphics: Experience with motion graphics and animation.

• HTML/CSS: Basic understanding of HTML/CSS for web design purposes.

• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the tech and aviation industries.

This is a hybrid role and requires working from our San Carlos, CA office at least three days a week, with the option to work remotely the remaining days.
