Yayasan CARE Peduli (YCP) was established in July 2018 as the national entity that will continue CARE’s presence and operations in Indonesia, following its institutional commitment to diversification within the confederation and to the localization of aid and strengthening partnerships with national entities.

CARE believes that this important step in the evolution of CARE’s presence in Indonesia will further enhance its more strategic role in both the development and the humanitarian fields.

Job Description

Job Objective/Summary

Reporting to the CEO and working closely with all units in the organization, the Branding and Public Relations Manager oversees both internal and external communications for the organization. Work with the CEO to achieve organizational goals and objectives by administering the communications and public relations initiatives as determined by the larger organizational strategic planning process. He/she will also serve as the Chief Spoke Person of the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop communications strategy and plan that will guide the internal and external communications of the organization.
  • Develop, integrate, and implement PR activities designed to leverage the organization’s brand promise and positive image.
  • Work closely with the Program division to build and refine organization’s core messages to ensure brand consistency and broaden awareness of the organization’s programs and priorities.
  • Work closely with the Funding and Business Development unit in products and services promotion and marketing. 
  • Cultivate and maintain strong media relationships and with other key constituents.
  • Oversee delivery and implementation of varied and integrated communications products including website, print publications, newsletters, online communications, media and public relations.  He/she will also serve as executive editor for the development and production of the organization’s communications products (website, newsletters, annual reports and other publications).
  • Monitor and keep abreast of social-political and economic trends and policies to inform the organization’s communications and branding strategy.
  • And other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Willing to join with the Emergency Response Team (ERT) in accordance with experience and competence and is ready to be assigned to the disaster site if needed. In collaboration with ERT and Procurement Team, to support for emergency response logistics/recruitment as well.

Qualifications

Education, Experience and technical requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or Marketing.
  • At least 7 years related experience or equivalent combination.
  • Experience in producing articles, press release and other publications for public consumption.
  • Excellent research skills and experience in generating reports and analyzing and interpreting data.
  • Experience in supervising development of print, audio/visual,advertising and promotional communication products.
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia, verbal and in writing is a must.
  • Good Information and Technology skills, e.g. word processing, power point and other communications and publishing applications.
