We seek an individual to join a highly motivated team in selflessly advancing The Association of Former Students’ noble mission as part of our Marketing and Creative Services team by providing graphic design and brand support to departmental staff, programs, campus beneficiaries and affiliate organizations.

DUTIES
Supports The Association’s graphic design and brand management functions.
- Creates digital and print-ready art for items including, but not limited to, newsletters, invitations, postcards, brochures, posters, signage and various other print and digital collateral.
- Assists in maintaining the integrity of The Association of Former Students’ brand, logo, and trademarks.?
- With direction from the Brand Coordinator, coordinates the promotional item program for The Association and ensures The Association’s brand is properly administered on Association promotional items.
- With direction from the Brand Coordinator, coordinates the apparel program for The Association and ensures The Association’s brand is properly administered on apparel for the organization’s staff and volunteers.
- Collaborates with the Brand Coordinator to improve standard operating procedures, increase efficiency in processes, and create graphic design opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Performs related duties or works on special projects as needed and assigned by the Vice President, the Director of Marketing, or the Brand Coordinator.
Participates in and provides input on various Association-wide activities:
- Actively contributes toward efforts to achieve our culture, engagement, and fundraising goals.
- Provides on-site event support for Board and Leadership Council meetings.
- Participates on internal event teams and task committees.
- Participates in Association events, which may include Aggie Muster, Aggie Ring Day, All-Aggie Grad Party, All-Aggie Hullabaloo, Distinguished Alumni Gala, Reunions, Pass It Back Day, Thank an Ag Day, All-Team Meetings, gameday receptions, and others as required.
Serves as an ambassador for The Association:
- Meets our Team Expectations.
- Supports The Association’s marketing, communications, and branding initiatives.
- Fosters relationships with students, former students, faculty, staff, and friends of Texas A&M.
- Attends external events on behalf of The Association, as directed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Required: Strong skills in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat). Fundamental understanding of branding concepts and processes. Good communication skills. Proficient with standard office equipment and word processing software (i.e. copier, scanner, MS Outlook, MS Word).
Physical Capacity Requirements: Ability to sit or stand for long periods on occasion, work quickly, and carry objects up to 20 pounds at events.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Strong commitment to the mission and vision of The Association of Former Students, with the ability and desire to serve as an advocate for the organization and Texas A&M University. High energy level and intrinsic motivation. Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
Required: Current student at Texas A&M University or Blinn College.
Preferred: Current student at Texas A&M University. Experience with PDF files and prepress requirements.
