Job Summary: 



The Brand Identity and Packaging Designer will be responsible for developing and executing the visual identity and packaging design for Petra Brands’ product lines. This role requires a creative visionary with extensive experience in the CPG space, specifically in beauty and personal care products. The designer will work closely with our marketing and product development teams to ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints. 



Key Responsibilities: 




  • Brand Identity Development:

  • Develop and maintain cohesive visual identities for Petra Brands’ portfolio, including House of Party, Fomin Soap, Golden Era Body, and Soul Mama Stationery.

  • Ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints, including packaging, marketing materials, and digital assets.

  • Collaborate with the marketing and product development teams to align brand identity with overall business strategy and objectives.

  • Packaging Design:

  • Create innovative and visually appealing packaging designs for a variety of beauty and personal care products, ensuring they align with each brand’s unique identity.

  • Incorporate retro-modern design elements for Golden Era Body and playful, vibrant designs for House of Party.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure packaging designs are practical, cost-effective, and meet quality standards.

  • Creative Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with copywriters, photographers, and other creative professionals to develop comprehensive branding and packaging concepts.

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and provide creative input to develop unique and compelling product stories.

  • Manage design projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines.

  • Market Research and Trend Analysis:

  • Conduct market research to identify design trends, consumer preferences, and competitor strategies in the beauty and personal care space.

  • Use insights from research to inform design decisions and keep the brand relevant and competitive.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and innovations in packaging design and materials.

  • Quality Assurance:

  • Review and approve final designs, ensuring they meet brand standards and quality expectations.

  • Coordinate with the internal team to oversee the implementation of packaging designs and troubleshoot any issues that arise.



Qualifications: 



  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in brand identity and packaging design within the CPG space, specifically beauty and personal care products.

  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of branding and packaging design projects in the beauty and personal care industry.

  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).

  • Excellent understanding of branding principles, color theory, typography, and design trends.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Detail-oriented with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Creative thinker with the ability to translate brand essence into visually compelling designs.


 


Preferred Qualifications: 



  • Experience with sustainable and eco-friendly packaging design.

  • Familiarity with digital marketing and social media branding.

  • Knowledge of printing processes and production techniques.
