We seek an individual to join a highly motivated team in selflessly advancing The Association of Former Students’ noble mission as part of our Marketing and Creative Services team by providing graphic design and brand support to departmental staff, programs, campus beneficiaries and affiliate organizations.

DUTIES
Supervises graphic design and related services.
- Oversees workload management and prioritization for graphic design and brand services, as well as the communications between the team and collaborating partners (internal and external).
- Serves as the lead graphic designer for print and digital graphic design and pre-press operations by creating digital and print-ready art for items including, but not limited to, newsletters, invitations, postcards, brochures, posters, signage and other collateral.
- Appraises, coaches, and motivates the part-time Brand Specialist, while working alongside the other Marketing and Creative Services’ staff.
Oversees brand management and related initiatives.
- Administers and maintains The Association’s brand standards across all communications channels, including print, web, and signage.
- Maintains the integrity of The Association of Former Students’ brand, logo and trademarks.
- Ensures the proper use of all Texas A&M University and Aggie Ring trademarks within the organization and by affiliate organizations.
- Oversees the promotional items program for The Association and ensures The Association’s brand is properly administered on Association promotional items.
- Oversees the apparel program for The Association and ensures The Association’s brand is properly administered on apparel for the organization’s staff and volunteers.
Performs related duties as required.
- With direction from the Director of Marketing, leads and executes brand strategies and campaigns for the organization.
- Works on special projects as needed and assigned by the Vice President or Director of Marketing.
- Collaborates with the Director of Marketing to improve standard operating procedures, increase efficiency in processes, and create graphic design opportunities to improve efficiency at The Association.
Participates in and provides input on various Association-wide activities:
- Actively contributes toward efforts to achieve our culture, engagement, and fundraising goals.
- Provides on-site event support for Board and Leadership Council meetings.
- Participates on internal event teams and task committees.
- Participates in Association events, which may include Aggie Muster, Aggie Ring Day, All-Aggie Grad Party, All-Aggie Hullabaloo, Distinguished Alumni Gala, Reunions, Pass It Back Day, Thank an Ag Day, All-Team Meetings, gameday receptions, and others as required.
Serves as an ambassador for The Association:
- Meets our Team Expectations.
- Supports The Association’s marketing, communications, and branding initiatives.
- Fosters relationships with students, former students, faculty, staff, and friends of Texas A&M.
- Attends external events on behalf of The Association, as directed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Required: Advanced software skills, including proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat and Lightroom). Working knowledge of PDF files and pre-press requirements. Sound judgment and utmost discretion. Self-motivated with strong written, verbal and organizational skills.? Ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent projects. Ability to effectively communicate with students, former students, Association employees, and Association leadership in a professional manner. Ability to work effectively with a variety of unique personalities and individuals. Proficiency with standard office equipment and software. Ability to sit or stand at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods. Ability to occasionally stand for long periods, move quickly, and carry objects up to 50 pounds when needed at events.

Strong commitment to the vision and mission of The Association of Former Students, with the ability and desire to advocate for the organization and Texas A&M University. High energy level and intrinsic motivation. Professional attire and behavior. Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends, as required.
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
Required: Bachelor’s degree in a graphic design/visual communications discipline or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Five or more years of professional graphic design experience. Experience managing a team.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University. Five or more years professional experience in an agency-type environment.
