How you'll make a difference?

The Associate Product Manager, Enabling Technologies is responsible for learning and taking part in both upstream and downstream product development efforts for their assigned area of Enabling Technologies. Duties will include supporting product development from concept through the entire product lifecycle into global commercialization and clinical implementation.

What will your duties and responsibilities be?

The following are the essential functions of this position. This position may be responsible for performing additional duties and tasks as needed and assigned.

  • Manage products in all stages of development (i.e., existing portfolio, near-term launch, pending FDA approval and new products) through concept, product development, marketing, operational support, product surveillance, and business analytics.
  • Involvement with product branding, creation of product support collateral, internal/external product training, and digital marketing campaigns
  • Collaborate with senior team members to create strategic marketing campaigns and develop product support materials.
  • Provide technical and clinical support to the sales team to drive revenue objectives and surgical outcomes.
  • Coordinate day-to-day activities of multiple products in various phases of product life. Work closely with Software Engineering, Tools Team, Sales, Operations and Regulatory on new products and features, competitive positioning, and customer feedback
  • Establish and implement initiatives to create demand for products from various customers and provide forecasts for product lines.
  • Develop high-level product strategy while maintaining attention to detail necessary for the success of software and hardware projects.
  • Develop and implement global go-to-market plans to support launches. Support setup of display booths and product demonstrations of product lines at industry conferences, customer meetings, and education programs
  • Perform duties in compliance with applicable FDA and state regulations as well as standards including, but not limited to, ISO 13485

What skills and experience will you need?

The requirements listed below are representative of the education, knowledge, skill and/or ability required for this position.

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent

Experience, Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities:

  • 1-2 years of related product management or medical device experience Strong ability to effectively communicate verbally and through written correspondence with all levels of peers and leadership at Orthofix SeaSpine, distributorships, hospitals, and other vendors worldwide.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and customer/inventory databases
  • Demonstrated ability to work creatively, prioritize, and manage team goals and initiatives amidst competing priorities. A critical thinker with strong attention to detail, and ability to problem solve and establish solutions in a high-growth and fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to travel 30% of the time.
  • Must be able/willing to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Willingness to be in cadaver lab and active operating room environments

What qualifications are preferred?

The education, knowledge, skills and/or abilities listed below are preferred qualifications in addition to the minimum qualifications stated above.

Education/Certifications:

  • Master’s degree in engineering, and/or a related discipline

Additional Experience, Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities:

  • 1-2+ years related experience in Product Marketing, Product Management for spine or surgical navigation

The anticipated salary for this position for an employee who is located in California is $75,800 to $105,736 per year, plus bonus, and benefits.
