THE ROLE & WHY IT EXISTS
Gravitee.io is on a mission to redefine API and Event Stream Management, and our brand plays a crucial role in driving that vision forward. We need a VP of Brand to lead the development and execution of a world-class brand strategy that creates an emotional connection with our audience, strengthens our market presence, and differentiates Gravitee in a competitive landscape.
Reporting to the CPO, this role owns brand identity, design, PR, and communications to ensure Gravitee’s brand is instantly recognizable, trusted, and influential across all channels. You will lead a team responsible for brand design while working cross-functionally to ensure consistency and impact in everything from SEO and thought leadership to event presence and public relations.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Your daily to-do list will feature some or all of the following, but is not limited to:
- Own and evolve Gravitee’s brand strategy, ensuring a strong, consistent, and differentiated identity across all channels.
- Oversee visual identity and design, ensuring brand consistency and premium execution across web, collateral, and marketing assets.
- Develop and execute PR and media strategies, managing external communications, press outreach, and executive visibility.
- Ensure a powerful brand presence at events, defining how Gravitee shows up at conferences, sponsorships, and in-person experiences.
- Create an emotional connection with our audience, ensuring the brand resonates deeply with developers, architects, and enterprises.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS The right candidate will possess at least the following skills, if not more:
- Proven experience building and growing a technology brand in B2B SaaS, developer tools, or enterprise software.
- Strong understanding of PR, media relations, and external communications.
- Ability to lead and mentor a team, driving both creative excellence and business impact.
- Data-driven mindset, leveraging tools like Google Analytics, Semrush, and HubSpot to measure brand performance.
- Hands-on experience with brand activation at events and conferences.
DESIRED SKILLS - Additionally, these skills are not required, but preferable:
- Experience branding developer-focused or technical products.
- Familiarity with managing external PR agencies or analyst relations.
- Passion for the API and event-driven architecture space (or a strong willingness to learn).
