ABOUT THIS POSITION

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Human Resources Intern to support our Employment Branding & Learning Experience initiatives. This internship will provide hands-on experience in employer branding, social media marketing, learning and development, and HR communications. The ideal candidate is a motivated individual who enjoys storytelling, data analysis, and digital marketing.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

This internship will focus on two key areas: 

 

1. Employment Branding & Social Media – Leveraging our marketing platform, Connect, and social media channels like LinkedIn to enhance our employer brand and highlight team member experiences. 

2. Learning & Development Support – Assisting with marketing our podcast series, learning management system (Polaris), and training programs, as well as using data insights to improve learning engagement.

Team Member Experience & Internal Communication Initiatives: 

  • Develop and execute content campaigns to promote our People experience, Affinity Groups, and team member development programs. 
  • Partner with HR and Marketing to create and share engaging content on Waystar Connect (an internal hub) and LinkedIn, showcasing company culture, initiatives, and team member stories to enhance our employer brand. 
  • Work closely with HR and Marketing to ensure consistent and impactful communication across all internal channels. 
  • Track and analyze social media engagement to optimize content strategy. 
  • Support programs that drive engagement, recognition, and a positive workplace culture. 

 

Learning & Development Marketing: 

  • Support the marketing and promotion of our podcast series and learning initiatives. 
  • Assist in creating content pages, graphics, and email campaigns to drive engagement with our Polaris Learning Management System (LMS). 
  • Use internal tools to analyze participation, engagement, and effectiveness of learning programs. 
  • Help manage internal communications related to learning and development, potentially using platforms like Mailchimp or internal company tools. 

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

What You’ll Need 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. 
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills with experience in social media or digital marketing. 
  • Interest in HR, employer branding, learning & development, and team member engagement. 
  • Attention to detail. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment. 

 

BONUS POINTS 

  • Experience with content creation platforms (e.g., Canva, Adobe, or similar). 
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS). 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Suite, including Teams and Outlook.
