Introduction

Position: Technical Interior Designer

Location: Johannesburg, South Africa


Job Overview:


A skilled and detail-oriented Technical Interior Designer is sought to join the Signature Brands Team. This position will play a crucial role in supporting the special projects team, particularly in projects for bespoke brands and the esteemed U.A.E Client Portfolio. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in AutoCAD, along with the ability to contribute to conceptual presentations and render briefings.


Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:



  • Technical Design: Utilize AutoCAD to produce precise technical drawings, plans, and specifications for restaurant projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

  • Project Support: Collaborate closely with the special projects team to deliver high-quality designs for bespoke brands, focusing on the unique requirements of each project.

  • Bespoke Branding: Work on innovative design solutions that align with the brand identity and vision of clients.

  • Conceptual Presentations: If applicable, assist in creating conceptual presentations and renderings that effectively communicate design ideas and project concepts to clients.

  • Quality Assurance: Review designs and technical documents to ensure accuracy and completeness, addressing any discrepancies before project implementation.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with architects, project managers, and other team members to facilitate seamless communication and project execution.


Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualifications:



  • Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years in interior design or technical design, with a strong focus on restaurant or hospitality projects.

  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in AutoCAD are essential; proficiency in additional design software (e.g., SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.

  • Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail, ensuring all technical drawings are accurate and meet client specifications.

  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate technical information clearly and collaborate effectively with team members and clients.

  • Creativity: While the primary focus is on technical design, a willingness to engage in conceptual work will be considered a valuable asset.


Package & Remuneration

Compensation:



  • Cost to Company (CTC): R30,000 - R45,000 per month, based on experience, current salary, skill set and qualifications.
