Job Overview:

Volt Raceway is looking for a creative and enthusiastic Marketing Co-op Student to join our team for the summer. This on-site, part-time position (15–20 hours per week) is ideal for a student currently enrolled in a marketing, communications, or graphic design program who is eager to gain hands-on experience. The co-op will run from May to the end of August.

The successful candidate will support day-to-day marketing tasks, including designing posters and digital signage, helping manage our social media presence and posting schedule, assisting with video content, and contributing to email campaigns. You’ll work closely with our full-time marketing team to bring exciting content to life and support Volt Raceway’s brand presence.

Key Responsibilities:

Graphic Design and Content Creation:

        Create basic graphic materials such as posters, signage, and TV menu updates
   Support the design of digital content for social media and email campaigns
        Stay up to date with current social media and pop culture trends relevant to our audience
   Assist with video creation for social media reels, stories, and YouTube uploads
   Edit existing templates and graphics to match branding guidelines

Social Media Support:

        Help brainstorm and create social media content (posts, stories, and reels)
   Assist with scheduling and uploading posts to platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
    Capture and edit photo/video content during on-site activities and events
        Experiment with new content formats (e.g., transitions, challenges, short-form video styles)
   Monitor trends and suggest ideas to boost engagement

Email Campaigns and General Marketing Support:

·        Assist in writing and formatting email newsletters and announcements

·        Help maintain marketing calendars and campaign trackers

·        Support other day-to-day marketing tasks as needed by the team


Requirements

Qualifications:

·        Currently enrolled in a post-secondary marketing, communications, or graphic design program

·        Proficient in Canva or basic Adobe tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, or Premiere Pro is a bonus)

·        Comfortable using social media platforms (especially Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube)

·        Strong written communication and creative thinking skills

·        Ability to work on-site at Volt Raceway

·        Interest in entertainment, events, and social media trends is an asset
