A leading Durban-based food retail company is seeking a dynamic Junior Brand Manager to support the execution of strategic marketing and communication initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities
In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Marketing and cross-functional teams to develop and implement marketing campaigns that drive customer engagement, enhance brand awareness, and boost sales across multiple retail and e-commerce channels.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist and develop custom brand management plans for stores and submit updated summaries on brand exposure and customer sentiment to management each month
Provide support to the Head of Marketing with the management and implementation of strategic projects
Collaborate with external agencies and teams on new marketing concepts
Assist in the implementation of retail branding within stores.
Maintain contact with vendors and store management to get critical input on how product design and implementation can be improved
Ensure artwork is correct and supplied in the right format/sizes/colour codes before being sent to press and production facilities.
Researching and analysing consumer behaviour, market trends and competitor activity.
Assist with establishing budgets, performance specifications and sales estimates.
Developing and implementing strategies that resonate with the target market.
Planning and executing marketing initiatives including campaigns, events, product launches and corporate social responsibility programmes.
Building brand awareness and increasing brand value and profitability.
Assist with the increase of product sales and market share through strategic brand communication
Assist with the management of our online store orders.
Measuring and reporting on campaign performance and assessing KPIs and ROI.
Overseeing the production of advertisements, promotional materials, email and social media campaigns.
Ensuring that messaging and marketing activities are aligned with brand and company values.
Assist with the approval of marketing literature and campaigns, liaising with the Head of Marketing, ensuring the designs and messages meet the company brand guidelines.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree/ diploma in design, marketing, brand management
3-5 year’s experience in a similar role (Agency or in-house marketing department)
Knowledge of design programmes such as Adobe Creative Suite; Illustrator and Photoshop (Advantageous)
Ability to think creatively and innovatively
Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in graphic design, digital marketing, production, etc.
Have a good understanding of basic computer skills and the ability to learn how to use proprietary software (Hootsuite, Mailchimp, Google Analytics).
Has a flare for project management and the ability to take tasks from start to finish.
Exhibits the ability to prioritise tasks and complete them in a high-pressure environment.
Displays the ability to work in a collaborative team-oriented environment.
