Mission
The Global Events & Branding Specialist is responsible for the planning and execution of a set of pre-defined Global and Local events, defined as scientific meetings, congresses and trade shows, in which Almirall has decided to participate, or chosen to organize. Furthermore the role includes the logistical responsibility for staging of internal events and bigger internal meetings. This position works closely with other members of the Global Customer Engagement department, the Global Medical Affairs department, the Global Compliance department, the Global Marketing department, Almirall’s Business Units, country affiliates as well as external suppliers. Frequent interaction with the members of the Leadership team of the company is also part of the expectations on this role. Budget management and vendor negotiations are key responsibilities of the Global Events & Branding Specialist.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Report to the Global Events & Branding Manager.
- Overall responsibility for the planning and execution of defined Global and Local Events projects.
- Overall responsibility for the logistical planning and execution of defined internal events and meetings.
- Ensure planning, design, execution and follow-up of all event projects within responsibility, to the highest of quality standards with the aim to continuously improve and raise the bar of customer experience.
- Design and implementation of the Almirall corporate and product brands strategy at events, following the guidelines established by the Almirall Global Events Strategy.
- Stakeholder in the management of speakers or special guests to events under responsibility.
- Vendor and supplier selection in collaboration with Procurement, close vendor management and responsibility for the continuous review of performance to trigger improvement.
- Coordinating venue management, caterers, stand designers, contractors and equipment hire.
- Contact person with associations in the medical field who organize scientific meetings and trade shows for the profession.
- Planning of business objectives per event, e.g. sales and leads objectives and as well as marketing messages in close collaboration with the Global Commercial Operations team and the Global Marketing team.
- Detailed budget planning and close budget control/follow-up to ensure strict cost control.
- Constant evaluation of how to develop customer experience before, during and after events.
- Development and implementation of Event Guidelines for Almirall’s market companies as well as turn-key Event concepts.
- Reporting on key performance indicators (KPI's) assessing events against ROI: generate leads & traffic.
- Post-event evaluation: customer's surveys, business objectives, budgets including information gathering and analysis as well as producing reports for event stakeholders.
- Establish an overview of global event activities of main competitors.
Education
- Degree in Advertising, Communication or Public Relations.
- Knowledge of the digital marketing landscape.
Specific Knowledge
- Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
- Any other languages an advantage.
- Align and lead projects together with multifunctional teams.
- Multiple suppliers management.
Experience
- Proven experience of managing successful global events, including developing event strategies, plans and concepts, managing event logistics.
- Solid budget management experience.
- Previous experience in advertising / communication agency is a must.
